|Soundscape 7,000 sq. ft. projection screen in Miami Beach|
The wall was originally constructed to showcase live Wallcast™ concerts, featuring classical music like Brahms, Mozart and Beethoven, which occur twice monthly from October through April.
The 7,000 square foot projection wall shows musicians performing the symphonies from every angle imaginable and speakers throughout the beautiful 2½ acre park in downtown Miami Beach create the ultimate immersive surround sound experience.
Not just for music, every Wednesday and some Thursdays during the season, movies are also shown. Everything from old classics like "Lawrence of Arabia," "The Sting" and "The Birds" to much more recent movies like "Maleficent," "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" are shown. Kids of all ages will appreciate movies like "Frozen," "The LEGO Movie" and "Who Framed Roger Rabbit."
When there are no concerts or movies being projected, the wall shows random scenes and abstracts of the local area. Utilizing custom software, the digital mural combines images and patterns, creating its own art dynamically so that you will never see exactly the same thing twice.
Located in the heart of the 17th Street Corridor City Center Redevelopment Project, New World Center is just two blocks from the ocean on Lincoln Road, behind Lincoln Road Mall. All Wallcast™ Concert and Soundscape Cinema Series events are free to the public and visitors are encouraged to pack a picnic basket and bring it along while they enjoy this truly terrific Miami cultural experience.
